Rechargeable 9V Batteries PP3 NiMH Ni-MH
Most rechargeable Ni-MH
(Nickel Metal
Hydride) batteries lose part of
their charge naturally. This
effect is called self-discharge.
For example, Panasonic state
that up to 15% of power
maybe lost in the first 30
days. It is therefore not really
recommended to use normal
rechargeable NiMH batteries
in appliances with low energy
requirements that are not
used very often, especially
smoke detectors.
In this case, the
energy lost through self-
discharge is greater than the
energy actually consumed.
The most popular smoke
alarm batteries we sell are
none rechargeable, we
recommend any of the
alkaline batteries on our site.
