Rechargeable Solar Light Batteries 2/3AA AA AAA NiMH NiCd
Every year we all check
our
outdoor solar lights and
sometimes find they
aren't
performing very well.
Most solar powered
garden lights normally
come with low capacity
NiCd batteries which don't
usually last too long and
are no longer available in
the UK. So the best thing
to do is upgrade your
rechargeable solar light
batteries
to the latest
environmentally
friendlier, higher quality
NiMH batteries. If your
outdoor
solar
lights don't appear to be
working you can firstly
check
the bulbs or LED's by
conducting a
simple test. Put an
ordinary non-
rechargeable battery in
the
light and place it in a
dark
room to activate the
sensor, if
the light works, you
probably need to replace
the
rechargeable solar light
batteries for new ones.
We recommend you
replace your batteries
with the nearest capacity
replacements. For
example if you take out
500 or 600mAh replace
with 600mAh.
The most important thing
to check is the size you
need. Choose
between the most
popular AA size and the
slimmer, slightly shorter
AAA
size. Also available are the
short 2/3AA batteries. You will
find all three
sizes
below. If you replace the
batteries
and the light still doesn't
work there may be a fault
in the charging system or
wiring.
