We often get asked what is the difference between CR123A and CR123 batteries. Absolutely nothing, they are the same battery just different manufacturers numbering systems. You can see from the Panasonic example that the battery has CR123A on it and the packaging has CR123 in the top left corner. Other manufacturers add or take away letters, so 123, 123A, CR123, CR123A, CR123AL, DL123, DL123A are all the same battery.
