Rechargeable 9V Batteries

Here you will find our entire range of rechargeable 9V batteries with a wide stock of different brands and capacities. We have listed our rechargeable 9V batteries below in order of capacity, highest capacity first. All the batteries in this section are NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride), apart from the iPowerUS Lithium Polymer 9V battery. You can view our full range of iPowerUS Lithium Polymer batteries and chargers here. These batteries have replaced the previous Ni-Cd (Nickel Cadmium) type and are more environmentally friendly as they do not contain any cadmium.

Most normal rechargeable Ni-MH batteries lose part of their charge naturally. This effect is called self-discharge. For example, 15% of power maybe lost in the first 30 days. It is therefore not really recommended to use normal rechargeable NiMH batteries in appliances with low energy requirements that are not used very often, especially smoke detectors. In this case, the energy lost through self-discharge is greater than the energy actually consumed. So if you wish to buy rechargeable 9V batteries for smoke alarms we would recommend low self discharge batteries, these are the Ansmann Maxe type or the Uniross Hybrio type. We would also recommend using non-rechargeable alkaline batteries in smoke alarms. If in doubt please contact us.
